After visiting Hathinikund Barrage at Tajewala the ignoble condition of Yamuna Ji has waggled the minds of protesters sitting at Jantar-Mantar since last 15 days. It is notable that an amount of 160 cusecs of water (which does not have tendency even to fill the river bed till Delhi) was supposed to be relieving from Hathinikund barrage, but not even a single drop is being released.

Despite of observing the unsound health of River Yamuna after Hathinikund Barrage, as decided, to get the clearer picture, a visit to Wazirabad barrage was scheduled for today. It is again notable that 140 cusecs of water is suppossed to be released in Najafgarh drain through the canal from Haryana.
The committee members comprising of high authority personnels of Central Water Commission, Planning Commission, Haryana Irrigation Department, Delhi Jal Board, Ministry of Environment and Forests alongwith National Chief Secretary-General of Bhartiye Kisan Union (BHANU) – Rajendra Prasad Shastri, National Patron of BHANU – Jai Krishna Das Baba, Representative of Maan Mandir Sewa Sansthan Trust, Barsana, Mathura – Ravi Monga, Swami Narayan Das Baba and the holy being Radha Priye visited the site. Rajendra Prasad Ji told that the inspection at Wazirabad was also disappointing.
On seeing the polluted water, when the committee members enquired with the officials there who have themselves admitted the fact that no water is being released into Najafgarh drain since last one year. The officials said that the canal coming into Najafgarh drain is completely dry. Rajendra Prasad Ji told that it shows the bad intentions as the Supreme Court’s orders are not being implemented.
The canal being dry reflects the clear picture of the Haryana government’s intent. It is also notable that thousands of devotees from Mumbai are again going to demonstrate there on coming Sunday, i.e. 1st of May. People of Mathura-Vrindavan have also organized a Mahapanchayat on this Sunday.
The conscientious Radha Priye Ji told that as the affirmation of releasing 160 cusecs of water from Hathinikund barrage and 140 cusecs of water into Najafgarh drain is just a foolish game, the farmers and sadhu-saints protesting at Jantar-Mantar have greatly been disappointed. It is just being imposed that the matter is being considered by giving fake assurances. With the only motive to have minimum water flow throughout the River Yamuna so that its ecology can be maintained the protesting farmers and sadhus have called up for a farmers’ Mahapanchayat on 1st of May at Jantar Mantar itself wherein farmers from various regions of the country would come and participate.
Thousands of farmers have confirmed their visit to Jantar Mantar on 1st of May. Again, an ultimatum of releasing the water so that it reaches Mathura till 1st of May has been given to the government and if it fails to comply with the demands set forth in the message “Release Water! Let River Yamuna water flow into River Yamuna”, the condition would expostulate. You are, therefore, requested to cover the avid event and be a part of this rarified service of all living beings as water is the most essential need for survival.
